Introduction 2.1

This bible study is about the meaning of the Hebrew word סִינָי, 'siynay' for 'Sinai', and gives every verse where the Hebrew word "siynay" appears. To obtain a true understanding of this word these scriptures need to be meditated on and notes made of their meaning in different contexts. This requires putting scriptures together where they seem to have a similar meaning, and then meditating even more. The truth will be revealed by the Holy Spirit, who has been given to guide us into all truth (John 16:13). Wherever this word siynay appears in the Hebrew, the translation of it is highlighted with yellow. Exodus 16:1 And they took their journey from Elim, and all the congregation of the children of Israel came to the wilderness of Sin, which is between Elim and Sinai, on the fifteenth day of the second month after they departed out of the land of Egypt.
19:1 In the third month, when the children of Israel were gone forth out of the land of Egypt, the same day, they came into the wilderness of Sinai.
19:2 For they had departed from Rephidim, and had come to the desert of Sinai, and had pitched in the wilderness; and there Israel camped before the mount.
19:3 And Moses went up to God, and Yahweh called to him out of the mountain, saying, Thus you shall say to the house of Jacob, and tell the children of Israel;
19:11 And be ready for the third day: for the third day Yahweh will come down in the sight of all the people upon mount Sinai.
19:17 And Moses brought forth the people out of the camp to meet with God; and they stood at the bottom of the mount.
19:18 And mount Sinai was smoking, because Yahweh descended upon it in fire: and the its smoke ascended as the smoke of a furnace, and the whole mount trembled greatly.
19:20 And Yahweh came down upon mount Sinai, on the top of the mount: and Yahweh called Moses up to the top of the mount; and Moses went up.
19:23 And Moses said to Yahweh, The people cannot come up to mount Sinai: for you warned us, saying, Set limits to the mount, and sanctify it.
24:15 And Moses went up into the mount, and a cloud covered the mount.
24:16 And the glory of Yahweh abode upon mount Sinai, and the cloud covered it six days: and the seventh day he called to Moses out of the midst of the cloud.
31:18 And he gave to Moses, when he had made an end of communing with him upon mount Sinai, two tablets of testimony, tablets of stone, written with the finger of God.
34:1 And Yahweh said to Moses, Cut for yourself two tablets of stone like the first: and I will write upon these tablets the words that were on the first tablets, which you broke.
34:2 And be ready in the morning, and come up in the morning to mount Sinai, and present yourself there to me in the top of the mount.

34:29 And it came to pass, when Moses came down from mount Sinai with the two tablets of testimony in Moses' hand, when he came down from the mount, that Moses did not know that the skin of his face shone while he talked with him.
34:32 And afterward all the sons of Israel came near: and he commandment them all that Yahweh had spoken with him in mount Sinai.

Leviticus 7:37 This is the law of the burnt offering, of the meat offering, and of the sin offering, and of the trespass offering, and of the consecrations, and of the sacrifice of the peace offerings;
7:38 Which Yahweh commanded Moses in mount Sinai, in the day that he commanded the children of Israel to offer their oblations to Yahweh, in the wilderness of Sinai.
25:1 And Yahweh spoke to Moses in mount Sinai, saying,
25:2 Speak to the children of Israel, and say to them, When you come into the land which I give you, then shall the land keep a Sabbath to Yahweh.
26:46 These are the statutes and judgments and laws, which Yahweh made between him and the children of Israel in mount Sinai by the hand of Moses.

Numbers 1:1 And Yahweh spoke to Moses in the wilderness of Sinai, in the tabernacle of the congregation, on the first day of the second month, in the second year after they came out of the land of Egypt, saying,
1:2 Take the sum of all the congregation of the children of Israel, after their families, by the house of their fathers, with the number of their names, every male by their polls;
1:19 As Yahweh commanded Moses, so he numbered them in the wilderness of Sinai.
3:1 These also are the generations of Aaron and Moses in the day that Yahweh spoke with Moses in mount Sinai.
3:2 And these are the names of the sons of Aaron; Nadab the firstborn, and Abihu, Eleazar, and Ithamar.
3:3 These are the names of the sons of Aaron, the priests which were anointed, whom he consecrated to minister in the priest's office.
3:4 And Nadab and Abihu died before Yahweh, when they offered strange fire before Yahweh, in the wilderness of Sinai, and they had no children: and Eleazar and Ithamar ministered in the priest's office in the sight of Aaron their father.
3:14 And Yahweh spoke to Moses in the wilderness of Sinai, saying,
9:1 And Yahweh spoke to Moses in the wilderness of Sinai, in the first month of the second year after they came out of the land of Egypt, saying,
9:2 Let the children of Israel also keep the passover at its appointed season.
9:3 In the fourteenth day of this month, between the evenings, ye shall keep it in his appointed season: according to all the rites of it, and according to all the its ceremonies, you shall keep it.
9:4 And Moses spoke to the children of Israel, that they should keep the passover.
9:5 And they kept the passover on the fourteenth day of the first month between the evenings in the wilderness of Sinai: according to all that Yahweh commanded Moses, so did the children of Israel.
10:12 And the children of Israel took their journeys out of the wilderness of Sinai; and the cloud rested in the wilderness of Paran.
26:63 These are those who were numbered by Moses and Eleazar the priest, who numbered the children of Israel in the plains of Moab by Jordan near Jericho.
